The charming village of Findon has a good selection of local shops and an excellent post office/newsagent. It is well served with a very varied selection of pubs, restaurants and hotels. The ancient Saxon church, St John the Baptist, enjoys a delightful setting to the east of the dual carriageway. Findon has a long association with race horses and enjoyed its greatest moment in 1981 when Aldaniti, ridden by Bob Champion, won the Grand National. Aldiniti was trained at Josh Gifford’s stables in the village, now run by his son Nick.

Findon Valley has a more extensive shopping parade with a post office, bank, library, health centre and two churches. The valley also benefits from an active residents association. The historic Iron Age fort of Cissbury Ring is a well known local landmark and hosts panoramic views across the Valley to the Sea.

High Salvington is famous for its windmill which is regularly opened to the public with cream teas also available! High Salvington has its own general store/post office. Towards the top of High Salvington foot-paths lead directly to the South Downs where a choice of walks can be enjoyed.

Transport
Regular bus services pass through High Salvington, Findon Valley and Findon Village. A choice of mainline railway stations in Worthing provides rail connections to London and along the South Coast.
The main roads linking this part of West Sussex are the A24 and A27 which give fast and direct access into London and Gatwick Airport together with main shopping centres at Worthing, Chichester, Brighton and Horsham.

Schools
The Vale School (first and middle) in Findon Valley enjoys an excellent local reputation. From The Vale children usually progress to Worthing High School or Durrington High School.
Findon Village also has its own well regarded first and middle school, St. John the Baptist School, from where children would normally go on to the Angmering School.
Local Further Educational establishments include Northbrook College and Worthing & Angmering Sixth Form Colleges.
An excellent choice of independent schools nearby include Broadwater Manor, Sompting Abbotts, Windlesham House, Our Lady of Sion and Lancing College.

Leisure
Residents of Findon, Findon Valley and High Salvington all enjoy quick and easy access to the delightful rolling South Downs, ideal if you like to walk, cycle or horse ride. Keen Golfers have the choice of courses at Hillbarn, Worthing, Ham Manor Angmering, Rustington and West Chiltington.
